IIAR Annual Conference

If you are involved in Commercial or Industrial refrigeration in any way you have probably heard of IIAR, the “International Institute of All-Natural Refrigeration”. When I first got into the industry IIAR stood for the “International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration”. As with all things in life, they change and evolve or they disappear. The IIAR organization recognized that every natural refrigerant was important and could use the intelligent members of the organization to make sure that all natural refrigerants had the same level support. The organizations vision is to “create a better world through the safe and sustainable use of natural refrigerants”.
And so, IIAR continues as strong as ever. Working diligently to “provide advocacy, education, and standards for the benefit of the global community in the safe and sustainable design, installation and operation of ammonia and other natural refrigerant systems.”
One of the best ways to get to know the IIAR organization is through their annual conference, this year being held in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-18.
As the organization is growing and evolving, so is its annual conference.
